Reflexology

Reflexology is a science that deals with the principles that there are reflexes in the feet and the hands relative to every organ, gland, or part of the body. By stimulating these points with deep compression and a technique used by the thumb and fingers of a practitioner much like caterpillar crawl (not massage), reflexology stimulates nerve and blood supply throughout the body. It increases circulation and helps nature to balance and normalize. One hour sessions are available.

Ear Candling

Ear candling has been around for centuries. An ear candle, sometimes called an ear cone, is a long hollow tube tapered to a hand-finished tip that fits comfortably into the ear. The large end is lit and smoke is gently dislodges foreign debris, softens old earwax and helps to evaporate excess moisture. This is believed to relieve earache pain, provide relief from pressure in the sinuses and allow ear to naturally push out the earwax. The ear candling is also believed to detoxify the lymphatic system and clear the sinuses, which can also improve the clarity of hearing, sight smell, and taste. More subtle changes may occur on an energy level resulting in greater emotional stability an on overall sense of well being. One hour session.

Ionic Foot Detoxification

The Ionic Foot bath is used to cleanse, balance, and enhance the bio-energy. This energy is the electromagnetic force that is stored within the body and utilized by our cells. The Ionic Foot Bath is widely used to increase energy (both physical and mental energy), vitality, and stamina, at the same time is used to purge the body of toxins, chemicals, radiation, pollution, synthetics, and other foreign material trapped in the skin layers that have clogged up the body’s systems of elimination. It's internal cleansing is believed by many to include parasite cleansing and liver detoxification, which results in less body fluid retention, reduced inflammation, improved memory, greater bladder control, a more balanced pH, stronger immune system including significant pain relief, headaches, gout, and arthritis pain. As believed in Reflexology, each foot is actually a channel; a conduit though which your body attempts to cleanse itself of toxic wastes and heavy metals that are building up in many parts of your body. During the foot bath you will actually see the cleansing process take place as the water interacts with the compound electric current and magnetic field structure. This body's cleansing process results in correct frequency required for cells to return to a healthy state , and to release waste that has been bonded over the years. It is a half hour session.

FAQ

What is Reflexology?

It is like a massage only the person doing the treatment uses the caterpillar crawl that the Chinese and Egyptians have been doing for thousands of years.

Why does the Clinic not suggest this?

I offer an alternate treatment that is considered Eastern Medicine and many of the doctors are not trained in Eastern Medicine. Many people want a pill to help them. I do not use pills just my hands.

Can I keep my doctor?

Yes, I am not replacing your doctor or the medicine they give you. I try to help your body use the medicine better.

If I get shots or new medicine for numbness can I see you and my doctor?

No. It would be a conflict of interest. You would not know what is helping you the medicine or the treatments.

How often do I need to see you?

At your first visit I will ask you questions about your health and what you want to get out of your treatments. We work together as a team and you are in charge of any decisions that are made. I will follow your suggestions. Most of the time for people that have had problems for a very long time 3 times a week is suggested. Then twice a week. But the client has the final say.

How much do you charge?

I have an hourly rate of $35.00 as of 6/2011.

Where did you get that figure?

That was the rate the school charged their clients.

Why so cheap?

Many of my clients are on fixed incomes and I don’t want to out price myself that no one comes in. If a client is happy with the service they can tip if they want to.

Why not bill insurance?

Insurance companies may not cover treatments. I do not have the neither the staff nor the resources to bill insurance. I would also have to take the National Boards that are offered once a year, out of state, and the foot test is first then the hand test. It could take up to 4 years to get my National Boards. I am State Certified in Wisconsin.

If I am seeing physical, occupation therapy can I see you?

Yes! We are working to together to restore your mobility and improve your daily life. PT and OT work on the muscles and I work on the nerves that can control movement. It’s a good team.

What about Chiropractic treatments?

Yes! When a chiropractor does an adjustment they are straightening the spinal areas and waking up the nerves. I stimulate the nerve endings to help the body heal. It’s a good team.
